That is, it can avoid bad prejudice, add to a good image in oneself, and even encourage others to give alms which leads to equity and reduces poverty. This research is descriptive qualitative focused on library materials, by conducting a literature study approach based on related references. The research scheme shows the importance of the role of all parties in increasing economic growth. Especially in Indonesia that will help influence self-image, social environment and perceptions of maslahah on alms behavior in society. The role of the institution in this regard is also very important in two ways, namely equitable distribution and increasing the productivity of the mustahiq. However, this cannot be achieved if the level of public trust in the amil zakat institution is still low.
Faiz Abdillah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/477 Mon, 03 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0000 A Qualitative Review on Zakat Innovation: NVivo 12 Approach https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/484
This study aims to identify and map zakat innovation research. The method used is a qualitative analysis of secondary data in the form of metadata from 30 Scopus-indexed publications in 2002-2022, which were then processed using the NVivo 12 Plus software. This research study also found that the number of publications from year to year related to zakat innovation research is still relatively small, indicating the need to push this topic again in the research world. Even though there are still a few publications in Scopus-indexed journals, this topic reveals that most have a moderately positive sentiment towards zakat innovation research. In addition, various focus discussions and cluster analyses that describe research lines in zakat innovation research include collection, distribution, development, finance, management, social welfare, governance, system, and SDGs. Finally, there needs to be a more comprehensive expansion of the discussion in future research related to the blockchain by utilizing smart contracts, which are expected to be able to support zakat institutions in increasing their efficiency, transparency and accountability. Therefore, the contribution of this research is very important for policymakers in zakat institutions and can be used as a basic reference to see how graphical visualization of the development of zakat innovation research trends is in scientific research.
Nadia Nurul Izza, Aam Slamet Rusydiana ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/484 Mon, 03 Apr 2023 03:00:08 +0000 Concept and Basis of Sharia Law for Distribution of Zakat in the Form of Microfinance with Qard Hasan Contract https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/492
The complexity of the economic problems caused by the covid 19 outbreak has changed so many circumstances. The household budget deficit has prompted a proliferation of institutions offering online loans. However, in practice, online loans often do not work according to the SOP of the OJK and are far from sharia values. Baznas issued a breakthrough in the form of zakat microfinance in the form of qard hasan as an alternative to problematic online loans. Because this is still relatively new, an in-depth explanation of the concept and sharia law related to this is needed. This problem is researched with a library research approach and presented in a qualitative form. From this research, it was found that the practice of qard hasan in zakat microfinance can be used as an alternative to existing problems, both conceptually and in sharia law.
Abdul Baasith Asdjazzi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/492 Mon, 03 Apr 2023 03:06:21 +0000 Amil Zakat as a Business Capital Financing Institution https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/378
One of the objectives of zakat is prescribed as an effort to reduce social inequality as well as poverty alleviation efforts. With the existence of many very significant developments, starting with the center of culture and civilization in the dynasty, by utilizing the mosque as a civilization of the ummah. This is proven to move the joints of the economy at that time. Thus, from the beginning, Islam wanted a civilization to be built in mosques in the Middle East. After Islam arrived in the archipelago, initially the mosque was the center of civilization, and sometimes many Islamic kings carried out activities in the mosque as a center for government at that time. For example, Raden Fattah and others, the projection of the mosque as the center of the civilization of the ummah has had a philosophy and guideline since the beginning. The potential of mosques in this country is also not small, even thousands and can be hundreds of thousands. However, this is still underestimated and sometimes overlooked. One example of a mosque that builds potential with zakat and philanthropy is the jokokariyan mosque in the city of Yogyakarta. This research wants to see the extent to which the philosophy and contestation and transformation of mosque-based philanthropy began with the jogokariyan mosque. In this dimension, the approach taken is the phenomenology and sociology of Islamic law. Institutional portraits and portraits of what social movements really support the success of the jogokariyan mosque in framing philanthropy with cimaik in the dimensions of their mosque's satker. The middle path is where Islam stands. For more than 1,400 years, the Islamic economic system, which was in line with its principles, held firm and contributed to the development of a society that was neither capitalism nor socialist but contained the best aspects of both. It promotes the system of wealth distribution with the goal of achieving a society in which there won't be any hoarding, profiteering, or accumulation of wealth in a small number of hands; a society in which there won't be either slums or multimillionaires, neither the exploited proletariat nor the exploiting bourgeoisie. This essay explores Islamic social welfare, the socioeconomic function of zakat in the family structure, and the efficiency of zakat in eradicating poverty and other social ills. Analytical in nature, the paper's presentation is based on a review of pertinent literature. The study affirms that the Zakat system offers a constant economic mechanism for transferring wealth from the wealthy to the poor, and that when properly assessed, promptly collected, and dispersed, it can help Muslim societies address risky issues like poverty, unemployment, natural disasters, debt, and unequal income distribution. According to the document, wealthy Muslims should be encouraged to fulfil their commitments either on an individual basis or through organized institutions (where accessible). Normally one person spends 49.9 liters of clean water a day in 1 month (30 days), which means they require 49.9 liters of clean water x 30 days = 1,497 per liter of water a month. If per 20 liters cost IDR 3,000.00, then the total need for one person in a month is IDR 224,550.00. This number is multiplied by the number of residents, 870 is the total population of Kayang village. This research is to assess the impacts of the construction of a drilled well program conducted by LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri by applying the Social Return On Investment method (SROI) in Kayang Village, Pantar Barat Laut District, Alor Regency, NTT. This method is to calculate the extent of the social impact resulting from the programs that have been carried out. SROI calculation is taken from the value of input from the construction of drilled well, assistance in the management of drilled well, sustainable use of clean water, and operational costs. Meanwhile, the value of impact is monetized by increasing the quality of human life, improving health, and minimizing environmental damage. The outcome of value impact was 2.97 which means that each LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri investment of IDR 1 has a social benefit of IDR 2.97. In other words, the social benefits of the program generated are greater than the funds distributed. This can encourage the growth of the economic activities of the surrounding community with money as capital for a business rather than for buying clean water. This also means to achieve the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely regions free from poverty, healthy and quality lives, the availability of clean water, and proper sanitation.
Sri Adam Dewi Setyaningrat, Dwi Ratnasari ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/481 Mon, 03 Apr 2023 07:19:21 +0000 Zakat Campaign of Baitul Mal Aceh (Study of BMA Release to Serambi Indonesia Newspapers in Aceh) https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/482
The zakat campaign strategy of Baitul Mal Aceh is discussed in this article. The absence of agreement between Islamic-based philanthropic institutions and the absence of clerical support to produce contemporary fatwas related to zakat are challenges in terms of zakat management. The development of the times and the increasingly complex dynamics of society demand a reconstruction of poverty; definition, broader meaning, and implementation of praxis. The presence of specific fatwas has urgency, especially by considering zakat as one of the theological aspects closely related to the aqidah dimension. It is not easy to combine theological aspects with revolutionary and transformative new concepts in the praxis state. This research seeks to propose the concept of reinterpretation of poverty and its implementation, while encouraging policymakers from Islamic faith-based philanthropic institutions in Indonesia to agree to align strategies for alleviating 'new poverty' through zakat management. In the end, the fatwa plays a role in gathering the strength of a solid people so as to realize a sustainable maslahah and al-adalah (justice).
Hilal Fathurrahman ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/493 Tue, 04 Apr 2023 07:09:16 +0000 Firmness of the Islamic Foundation: For Dissidents of Zakat https://iconz.baznas.go.id/submission/index.php/proceedings/article/view/523
Zakat is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every Muslim who can afford it. The analytical tool used in this research is the National Development Planning Agency's Welfare Index which consists of the Cibest Model, the HDI Modification Index, and the Independence Index. From this research, it was found that the impact of the business equipment assistance program and venture capital assistance program had a fairly good Baznas welfare index value, while the South Tangerang City Baznas ZCD program had an independence index value that was still in the weak category. One of the methods to improve their welfare is to include them in a retirement savings program whose funds are taken from zakat funds managed by amil zakat institutions. The implementation mechanism is by means of the amil zakat institution giving zakat to mustahiq, then mustahiq authorizing the amil zakat institution to deposit it to the organizer of the financial institution pension fund (DPLK).
